What we store, and why.
CyborgPlay is an independent game studio. We collect as little as we can, and only what this site needs to work.
Email signup
If you ask to be notified, we store your email address, which form you used (the hero or the game-over screen) and when you signed up.
We use it only to email you about CyborgPlay games. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time: every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can write to us.
We keep your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Leaderboard
If you submit a score, we store the nickname you choose, your score, how long the game lasted and when you submitted it.
Nicknames and scores are public: they appear on the leaderboard and on a shareable score page. Please don't use your real name.
In your browser
Your best score, your last nickname, your language and whether you've signed up are saved in your browser (local storage and one language cookie). They stay on your device.
We don't use analytics or ad trackers.
Abuse prevention
To limit repeated signups and score submissions, we briefly use your IP address in memory. We don't store it in our database.
Who processes your data
The site is hosted by Vercel and our database is run by Neon. They process data on our behalf to provide those services.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it or to delete it, and you can withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
